A bit smaller than a Rogue, but bigger than a Juke.
Apparently will be sold in Europe, but no word about America.

That last picture:
THANKS OBAMA!
This is why we can't have nice things.
Stupid, lazy 'Muricans and their automatics.

This would be the second generation then. Here's a face-light version of the first gen. They come in 5 and 7-seater guise. Clarkson calls it the cumquat.

Yaw, at least there's progress in the design department, but the interior looks plain.

Wat?
Nissan QashQosh? Qashash? Qashkoi?
Seriously. What the hell is Qashai?

It's the name of an Iranian nomadic tribe.
A bit like the Iranian equivalent of the Touareg, I guess.

Qashqai (pronounced "Cash-Cow—" I mean, er, "Kash-Kai").

The all knowing Wikipedia says that it's union of former nomadic tribes, from Iran .

Eh, it looks all right, a decent evolution that fits with what their concept crossovers have looked like.
The current Qashqai (called Dualis in Japan) is regularly in the top 10 best-selling cars in the UK and helped popularise small crossovers when it replaced the conventional and extremely dull Almera hatchback.

But y u no sportier? This looks like a smaller Rogue, that hates leaving the city.

Not every car has to be sporty. It does the job it's designed for well (this new one probably will too).

Is Nissan trying to pick a fight with Pagani [Huayra] on ridiculous and hard to pronounce names?
Also, they do sell these in America, but in the South.

Seriously though, this has been out for some time in Europe. This is just the new one.

My Grandad has one of these, and the interior is a place they've obviously cut costs.
I don't actually care all that much. If you want a cheap car, you're going to get cheap bits somewhere. The interior is a better place to do it than the coolant hoses for example (as was the case on E-Types).

Good front, mediocre middle section and terrible rear.
Those rear lights belong on a Hyundai i30cw or a Focus Estate. Also, what about the Mercedes E-esque ponton hips?
//edit: Oooh, I forgot something. I sat in a new Note recently, and that interior was awful. The only nice bit was the tach/dash lighting.
